I am no runner.
This past weekend in Chicago was the 5k Pumpkins in Park run.
Just to clarify here: I’m no runner. This was further supported by the race results. There were a total of 6 people from Rockford, IL who reported they resided from Rockford, IL. Admittedly, if you’re traveling from Rockford to Chicago to run the race, you’d better be decent. Now, out of the 6 runners, i was last by 6 seconds and a pair of testicles. Yes, the girl before me, beat me by 6 seconds. I’m not going to use the excuse that two and a half hours of basketball that morning drained all of my energy, but I certainly could use that excuse given that everyone stumbling off of the court called me crazy. But I’m not going to use that crutch, I’d rather hobble along to crush on the next one. Samantha Roush, whoever you are, this is the forewarning.
